The Slipway

Glass Harbour Group have recently completed an entirely bespoke 500 sqm+ new build family home on the waterfront harbour in Christchurch, UK. ‘The Slipway’ sits on an exclusive plot at the forefront of Christchurch Harbour, with breathtaking waterfront views and direct water access via its dedicated slipway and jetty.

The planning and build process was extremely detailed from the beginning, making sure the end clients needs were fully understood and then delivered. Particularly, the key glazing requirement was to have the smallest bezels possible, meaning the mullion and transom bars needed to be as least intrusive as possible, allowing the full harbour view to be taken in.

Furthermore, an anodised product with an excellent weather rating was required considering the exposed nature of the site. Finally, there was a requirement for a 4-track system, allowing the proportions of the doors to match the first floor layout. SkyFrame was the perfect product for said requirements.

All in all, this bespoke super home on the waters edge looks fantastic with the Sky-Frame system installed.
