What do you do when the client has a different architectural style in mind? In Residence KS, the architects made a virtue of this challenge and was rewarded along the way with a new signature. Residence KS became an exercise in finding the ultimate harmony and it can be seen as a milestone in their portfolio and a new chapter in their oeuvre. With a synergy of stylish rural living and ultra-modern architecture, they left their mark on Belgian architecture and established a new style.
The feature attracting all the attention in this project is undoubtedly the pool house that is flanked by tall green trees and was conceived as a fully-fledged architectural pavilion with an indoor swimming pool. Following in the footsteps of Mies van der Rohe, the pool house was also finished in green marble quartz, which you experience both inside and on the terrace as an echo of the green surroundings.
Residence KS is also exemplary of their approach, in which they trust. Always ask and receive carte blanche from the client, which always results in a very personal living experience: from architecture to the smallest detail. This is illustrated by the royal blue, velour Roche Bobois that came from the owners' previous home and which, because of its emotional value and high eye-catching value, became the starting point of our interior plans.
Furthermore, the villa perfectly reflects the life and story of its inhabitants: an active, newly composed family. With a car lift that takes you to the client’s underground car collection, a bar in the living room that offers a view of the wine cellar through the glass floor, an extra washing area in the garage for all the sportswear and a games corner as a private spot for the children. Because they also want to feel at home in their parents' dream home and enjoy the legacy they created for them.
